It all started in a small room in Irbid, Jordan, where a handful of young people—refugees and locals alike—gathered around a shared dream: to create a space where youth could build bridges, foster understanding, and promote peace. Each of us carried stories of struggle, resilience, and hope. In that moment, we realized that despite our different backgrounds, we were united by one goal: to empower young people to lead change in their communities. That spark became the Youth 4 Peace Initiative.

As our work grew, so did our team’s reach. Some of our members moved abroad—to Switzerland, Spain, and Portugal—bringing with them the values and lessons of Youth 4 Peace. Even from afar, they continued to lead projects, mentor youth, and connect communities across borders. This international expansion allowed our initiative to grow beyond Jordan, inspiring youth in multiple countries to embrace peacebuilding, collaboration, and leadership.

From organizing workshops in local neighborhoods to hosting online sessions connecting youth from different countries, every step reinforced our belief: peace is not limited by borders. It is nurtured by connection, dialogue, and the courage of young people to take action. Today, Youth 4 Peace is a growing movement—spanning nations, uniting hearts, and proving that even the smallest ideas, when shared with passion, can create a global impact.
